In the past, the only online poker that South Africans could play online, was video poker which was similar to the poker that one finds in casinos such as GrandWest, Sun City, Monte Casino etc - however overseas players were playing online poker with a difference - they were playing poker against other people across the world. Online Poker became so popular that now Piggs Peak hosts the All Africa Poker Tournaments that are held regularly at Piggs Peak Hotel in Swaziland. The winners of these tournaments get flown to Las Vegas to take part in the WSOP ( World Series of Poker )

In fact in 2007 - Raymond Rahme a South Africa who only started playing poker in his 60's came 3rd at the WSOP and won over $3 million - this proves that you are never too old to learn to play poker!
